We fully embrace the reality that Jesus Christ has comprehensive rule over all things and that our lives are to be governed accordingly.

Following Christ’s example, we earnestly seek to live in service to others and influence the world for its betterment.

We work to maintain an environment that is safe for every man to be vulnerable and transparent, suitable for every man to grow, and set up for every man to encounter Jesus.

Because we are related by the blood of Jesus, we are not merely a spiritual locker room, we are a community of men who truly “do life” together.

We are committed to learn, apply what we’ve learned, and constantly develop as Kingdom men.

Growing up as an African-American male in West Philadelphia during the War on Drugs era taught JP3 mixed messages about manhood and personal identity. Plagued by spiritual, emotional, and mental instability, he made poor choices in his adolescence and young adulthood that nearly cost him everything. But by God's grace, JP3 found his way by connecting to the men's ministry at his church, where he learned and experienced true biblical masculinity, engaged in local outreach, began healing from deep father wounds, discovered his spiritual gifts, and honed servant leadership skills.
Today, as a former stewardship pastor, K-16 educator, and professional development expert, JP3 enjoys helping men avoid pitfalls to success and fulfill their God-given purpose. His life verse is Psalm 118:14, “The LORD is my strength and song, and [He] is become my salvation.”

Ever since the first man Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), men have patterned his leadership failure, resulting in the death, destruction, and darkness we experience in our world every day. Thankfully, the Bible lets us know that when men decide to repent, fear the LORD our God, and walk in His ways, we can position ourselves to be influencers for the kingdom of light rather than the kingdom of darkness. As a result, families flourish, organizations outperform, communities catapult, and the world wins (2 Chronicles 7:14; Acts 17:30; Exodus 34:23-24; Psalm 128).
In April 2020 — when darkness took the form of the early COVID-19 crisis — a group of strong Christian men began meeting online to encourage, connect, and help one another overcome the vicious attack that this new global pandemic was making on our mental, relational, and spiritual health. Today, this weekly virtual gathering has grown into Men On Purpose, Inc., a full-fledged 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that brings light to the world by developing men into influential servant leaders.
Depending on whom you ask, you may get many different answers to this question. But if you begin with the basic premise that in the Bible God assigned men unique roles and responsibilities that are not shared by women, children, or any other form of His creation, then you can see clearly why biblical manhood — or "biblical masculinity" — matters so much. This is simply a way of saying that we are "defined and directed" by the Scriptures in all areas of life, especially gender and sexuality which have become major hot-button issues of late. So by being hyper-intentional about focusing on our identity from God, we eliminate the confusion and chaos that comes along with any identity that the world, the flesh, or the devil may try to give us. More importantly, by being an organization that centralizes biblical manhood, we believe that we more clearly and effectively represent Christ's kingdom.
No. Men On Purpose, Inc. is not organizationally affiliated with any specific church, tribe, or denomination, although individual members have diverse backgrounds and may affiliate personally within those domains as they choose. We respect the traditions and expressions of virtually all Christian denominations, but do not see where Scripture binds believers to identify with any one in particular. Rather we believe the Scriptures centralize the gospel of Jesus Christ (i.e., His deity, incarnation, sinless life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, intercession, imminent return) and emphasize His eternal rule and supremacy above denominational affiliation (1 Corinthians 1-3). We also encourage our members to belong to a local church assembly outside of MOP.
During a classic interview, the late, great Kobe Bean Bryant was asked what he would say to a star player that he wanted to recruit to play along with him and the Lakers. Deadpan, the Black Mamba replied, "You want first place? Come play with me. You want second place? Go somewhere else." To reframe that basic idea with just a bit less presumption, we would say: If you want a caring Christian community with strong brotherhood that will relentlessly challenge and nurture you into fully becoming the wise, powerful, influential leader that God intended you to be, then join us. If you want to settle for status quo, keep doing what you've been doing.
MOP's primary offering is the #ManhoodMonday Community which gathers virtually on Monday evenings for practical Bible study and application, prayer, life coaching, group masterminding, challenges, problem-solving, accountability, and fellowship, among other transformational activities. We also host a prayer call on Friday mornings as a powerful capstone to the workweek. As we expand in the future, we plan to also offer personal development courses, community service opportunities, internships, mentorship programs, certifications, and more.
Currently, the men of MOP gather via Zoom for #ManhoodMonday sessions on Mondays from 7pm-8:15pm (EST). Although the format may vary on occasion, a typical session generally flows as follows: Informal chat/fellowship (10 mins), Opening Prayer (1 min), Housekeeping/Announcements (4 mins), Teaching time/Main lesson (20 mins), Group discussion/breakout (20 mins), Closing remarks (5 mins), Praise reports and prayer requests (15 mins).
Teaching topics are generally related to biblical masculinity and can range from "Spiritual Leadership in the Home" to "Slaying Your Goliath" to "Biblical Entrepreneurship and Wealth."
